NAMIKIRI.THE NEW AGE HANDPLANE
While living and working by the beach in Shimoda, Japan, I was fortunate enough to meet and have Yo Kanumaru as a co-worker, mentor and friend. During my time in residence I completed woodworking projects two examples demonstrated here are this handplane, and also a small coffee table made from Canadian maple.

I would like to note there was a proud and mutual flow of skills, culture and knowledge transferred during this exchange. I gained practical and insightful knowledge into aspects of Yo's design approaches and iterative shaping and prototype testing (playing in the ocean!)
In return, I was able to introduce concepts of 3D design optimisations to the forms he was experimenting with, as well and social, web and branding consultation to excel NAMIKIRI to where it is today.
